Hungry to learn more about…well everything? Check out Active Minds which offers 20 to 25 FREE classes each month across metro Denver, Boulder and Longmont. Topics run the gamut from Climate Change and The Civil Rights Act to Artificial Intelligence and Pops Goes The Orchestra.
Classes run one hour and are presented multiple times at libraries, bookstores, community center and active adult communities. So, if you find a subject of interest, odds are you’ll find a convenient location. On occasion, a class spans a two-hour period. Typically that means refreshments before the class and a tour of the facility (for those who are interested) afterward.
Most Active Minds talks are held during the day (though a few are after work) and are open to all ages. The only requirement is that you want to learn.
Friendly Reminder: Double-Check Beforehand
Mile High On The Cheap thoroughly vets every item published and strives for 100% accuracy. However, details may change without notice or errors may occur.
As always, prices, hours and participating locations may vary.
Some events and activities may be canceled or postponed with little to no notice.
Please verify all deals and events with the business or venue, before ordering or making plans.
Active Minds dives into high-level world issues, so you’ll find topics such as Putin’s Russia or what Brexit means to the UK and EU.
Some classes are so popular that they stay on the calendar for months, but there are two new topics added each month.
What’s the catch? There isn’t one. Active Minds gets paid by sponsors or locations hosting the talks. That’s why classes are FREE to attend.
Check out Denver upcoming events here and the Boulder/Longmont calendar here. You’ll find topic, location and if you need to RSVP (some smaller venues have limited space). Reminder: scroll through the entire list as classes are repeated at multiple locations.
