It seems every movie theater chain is following the hype MoviePass started — the opportunity to see unlimited movies for one low monthly price. (Unfortunately, MoviePass couldn’t keep up with the demand.) The newest addition to the trend comes from the ever-popular Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. The chain just announced its Alamo Season Pass is now available for the Denver metro area.
For $19.99 per month, enjoy the following benefits:
♦ Good for up to one regularly priced movie per day
♦ 3D, 70mm, Dolby Atmos and Big Show movies require an additional $1.99 fee per ticket
♦ Standard online convenience fees apply
♦ Reserve seats up to 7 days in advance
♦ Subscription automatically renews each month until canceled
♦ $10 ticket discount at all other participating Season Pass locations
Important: The pass cannot be used for special events, including Movie Parties, Movie Feasts or other shows with premium tickets.
You can also purchase a multi-seat Alamo Season Pass for an additional $18.99 — up to four per account. For example, a season pass with four additional seats would cost $95.95 (plus tax) per month.
How do you use the Alamo Season Pass?
The pass is available only on the Alamo app for iOS and Android. To use, select a showtime and seat as you normally would. You’ll be prompted, during checkout to apply your pass.
The seat will be reserved at the time of checkout, but the actual ticket will not be available until you’re at the theater 30 minutes prior to showtime. The ticket is tied to your phone, so you must have it with you. Once the ticket is available, head to your seat and show your phone to the server. Have an ID ready, as the server will check it against the name on the subscription.
Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has three locations in Colorado — Denver, Littleton and Westminster.
