More than 175 local artists will bring their wares before the public during the Art Students League of Denver’s Summer Art Market, Saturday & Sunday, August 24 & 25, 2024. Whether your home looks like a museum or you’re a novice collector, you can pick some terrific pieces — paintings, sculptures, ceramics, fiber art, mixed media — at reasonable prices.
The event, held in the West Wash Park neighborhood between E. 1st Ave. and E. 4th Ave and between Logan St. and Sherman St.
It features a range of media, including ceramics, fiber arts, mixed media/book art, painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, jewelry and sculpture.
All artists are students, faculty or members of the League. The longstanding event helps launch careers, supports beginners just entering the art world and provides a crucial opportunity for those looking to make a living in the arts.
In addition to 175+ artist vendors, the event features live art demonstrations by ASLD faculty (at 10 a.m. noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. and noon on Sunday) and a drop-in interactive art experience for kids.
Food and drink vendors will be on site.
The 2024 event will be ticketed. Tickets cost $5 for adults; children 12 and under are free. They go on sale online starting August 1 or you can purchase at any entrance during the event. Tickets are valid the entire weekend.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Note that it can get hot and there’s limited shade, so wear a hat and slather on the sunscreen.
