Ready, set, go! If you’re a fierce competitor and have a friend, spouse, co-worker or roommate with the same quality, you just might have the chance to pack your bags for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. “The Amazing Race” is holding auditions for an upcoming season on Thursday, July 12 at K1 Speed (8034 Midway Dr.) in Littleton. Teams may begin lining up at 9 a.m., with auditions starting at 11 a.m.
The first 200 teams in line will have the opportunity to audition on camera. No application forms necessary. You just need to bring a teammate (duh!) and any props needed to express why your duo is a perfect fit for the show.
Be prepared, as each team will only have one minute to express their creativity. A signed release form will be required.
Save time by bringing a printed release form for each person with you. Click here for the release form. You can also pre-register here or just show up the day of the event.
About the Open Call:
All contestants must be U.S. citizens, living in the US and 18 years or older at the time of application. Producers are looking for a diverse group of men and women who represent a broad cross-section of American society.
Competitors will be judged based on having the following traits: strong-willed; outgoing; adventurous; physically and mentally adept; adaptable to new environments; interesting lifestyles, backgrounds and personalities.
If selected as a semi-finalist, candidates will be invited for final interviews with Amazing Race producers.
The prize for the competition is $1,000,000, but money will not come easily. Competitors must be willing to commit to traveling to remote locations for approximately four weeks.
Contestants will be filmed up to 24 hours a day by television camera crews to be broadcast on national television. They will be traveling to different countries competing in challenges against other teams under sometimes difficult and unfamiliar conditions.
