One of the theater gems of the metro area is the Aurora Fox Arts Center. Not only does the historic former movie palace host several local performing arts organizations, but it is home to the Aurora Fox Theater Company. The professional theater troupe produces six shows a year, as well as a summer kids program and other shows.
Tickets to the Theater Company’s performances range from $28 to $40 for adults, $20 to $28 for seniors (60+), military and students and $15 for children (12 and younger).
There are also deals to be had on tickets. Each show’s opening weekend offers a discount of $10 off tickets (all levels), with a limit of two per customer.
Some shows also have a run-of-show promo code with varying discounts. Tickets may be purchased online or at the box office.
Next up is the Colorado premiere of Toni Stone from March 10 to April 10, 2023. Stone was the first woman to play baseball in the Negro Leagues, and the first woman to play professionally in any men’s league, anywhere in the United States.
Against all odds, she blazed a trail through the male-dominated world of sports, shattering limitations others placed on her, and creating her own set of rules. In the play, audiences follow Stone’s journey as she fights for love, equality, and a chance to do what she wants most — to play ball!
