Want to learn more about early agriculture and water use in Aurora? Join a group of experts on a walking tour of the Delaney Historic property with a focus on historical water use, agriculture and nature. The FREE tour is Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Aurora History Museum is partnering with Aurora’s Naturalists and the High Line Canal Conservancy for this mile-and-a- half walk around the property.
Hear stories of the Gully and DeLaney families who immigrated to Aurora in the 1860s.
Walk along the Canal and around the farm to explore historical structures and learn about the history of water and farming in Aurora.
The walk is appropriate for kids and adults.
Bring water and comfortable walking shoes.
Friendly dogs are welcome on this walk, but they will not be permitted inside of the historic buildings visited.
