BOOM! BANG! CHEAP! Fourth of July festivities abound in the metro Denver/Boulder area. We’ve found most of the no-cost and low-cost festivals, feasts and parades to keep the family entertained. Events are listed alphabetically for easier review. We expect to add more events, as they’re announced — so check back often.
In case of bad weather or fire bans, some fireworks shows may be cancelled. However, celebrations usually go on as planned. Check back here and on event websites for updated information.

Most of us love professional fireworks shows, but when our neighbors and others set off illegal fireworks, we don’t feel the love. For those with PTSD or nervous pets, fireworks are an assault on the senses. And with all of us especially skittish about fires, law enforcement understands your concerns. However, they don’t want concerned citizens tying up 911 and delaying responses to true emergencies. That’s why many municipalities and counties are offering alternative ways (including dedicated hotlines and non-emergency dispatch lines) to report illegal fireworks this year.

Warriors of the 140th Wing, Colorado Air National Guard will fly their super-cool F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft around Colorado cities and towns on Thursday, July 4, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. t0 12 p.m. 
Haul out the red, white and blue — it’s going to be a firecracker 4th of July. Not only are there parades, community festivals and fireworks, but also deals, discounts and low-cost things to do on
