The 2025 Black History Live! statewide tour will feature the living-history portrayal by scholar/actor Becky Stone of Harriet Tubman or scholar/actor Marvin Jefferson as Louis Armstrong. The portrayals will be performed as a first-person dramatization. A monologue typically runs 40 minutes, followed by 20 minutes of Q&A, first in character and then out of character as the scholar/performer. All shows are FREE.

Friday, February 7: Harriet Tubman — 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Aurora Fox Arts Center, 9900 E. Colfax Ave., Aurora.
Saturday, February 8: Harriet Tubman — 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at The Schoolhouse Theatre, 19650 Mainstreet, Parker.
Tuesday, February 25: Louis Armstrong — 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Bemis Public Library, 6014 S. Datura St., Littleton.
Thursday, February 27: Louis Armstrong — 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Decker Branch Library, 1501 S. Logan St., Denver.
Thursday, February 27: Louis Armstrong — 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Windsor Gardens, 595 S. Clinton St., Denver.
Each February, Colorado Humanities’ Black History Live program honors the struggles, triumphs, and contributions of pivotal unsung heroes, visionaries, and trailblazers who have shaped the intricate tapestry of Black heritage.
