While we rarely post about summer camps, this one in Castle Rock may appeal to those seeking a high-energy, hands-on STEM camp that spans six hours a day over five days. Camp Invention is for children entering grades 1 to 6 and runs June 3 to 7 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Clear Sky Elementary.
A program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention lets kids collaborate to build prototypes, complete hands-on challenges and design a remote control bot. Kids will even code bots to turn a polluted wasteland into a money making machine and create devices to save animals.
Price is $240 for the week, but register by March 22 and save $25 with the promo code INNOVATE25. Register here or call 800-968-4332.
There are a number of Camp Invention programs across the metro area. Each has its own pricing and some popular locations are already sold out. You can use the Camp Location finder by typing in your zip code to see what’s near you.
