Four Mile Historic Park
Take a step back in time at Four Mile Historic Park, Denver’s oldest standing structure and surrounding 12-acre history park. The site is open for tours Wednesday through Sunday and offers educational programming throughout the year.
Visitors can tour the historic house, meet the horses, goats, and chickens, and learn about the craftsmanship of the historic barns and outbuildings.
Nestled on the banks of Cherry Creek, the Four Mile House was the last stop coming west to Denver along the Cherokee Trail.
A welcome site for weary travelers, it was a place to wash off the trail dust, eat a home-cooked meal, or spend the night before heading in to Denver.
Today, Four Mile Historic Park showcase’s Colorado’s rich history and allow you to experience “where the American West comes to life!”
