Hear ye! Hear ye! Merriment (on a budget) awaits! The Colorado Renaissance Festival (650 W. Perry Park Ave.) in Larkspur returns for adventure and fun for eight weekends this summer — from June 15 to August 4, 2024. There’s plenty for families to do and see, including entertainment, an Artisan’s Marketplace and themed weekends.
Before you go, know the following guidelines:
Open rain or shine.
All food and beverages is cash only.
No outside food or beverage is allowed — except for factory-sealed bottled water. (No coolers allowed.)
Costumes welcome. Costume swords and daggers are permitted, as long as they are properly sheathed and peace-tied. Present yourself to Safety Services Personnel at the Festival’s Main Gate.
Shirts and Shoes are required.
Full face masks are not allowed.
No pets allowed.
The festival runs on the following eight themed weekends:
June 15 and 16, 2024 – Discount Tickets Available
Magical Fantasy + First Responder Appreciation Weekend
The opening weekend is dedicated to fantasy creatures of all ages and varieties. Have a dance with a fairy or a hug from a Unicorn. Meet with a mermaid and make merry with a living statue. Plus, enjoy a costume contest on the Rose Stage at noon.
In addition, all firefighters, police and sheriff department personnel enjoy a buy-one-get-one FREE adult ticket and their children (12 and under) are admitted for FREE. The offer is only available at the Festival Box Office. You must present a work ID to qualify.
June 22 and 23, 2024 – Discount Tickets Available
Ale and Art Festival + Military Appreciation Weekend
This weekend is a celebration of art and the art of ale making. Enjoy a FREE beer tasting for adults at the Dancing Bear Pub. Plus, participate in a speed drawing competition for fabulous prizes.
In addition, all veteran and active-duty military enjoy a buy-one-get-one FREE adult ticket and their children (12 and under) are admitted for FREE. The offer is only available at the Festival Box Office. You must present a military ID to qualify.
June 29 and 30, 2024
Listen to the traditional sounds of Celtic musicians, Scottish pipe bands and madrigal singers throughout the festival. Sing along with an Irish Troubadour as he performs popular ballads.
Enjoy performances from The Pikes Peak Highlanders. And get ready to “don ye kilts” for the Men in Kilts Contest on the Rose Stage at noon.
July 6 and 7, 2024 – FREE Admission for Children
This weekend is dedicated to young lads and lasses. Children (12 and under) get in for FREE with the purchase of an adult ticket. Be sure to pick up the child’s complimentary ticket at the Festival Box Office.
Special activities include the Prince, Princess and Pirate Costume Contest on the Rose Stage at noon. Also, there is the Royal Quest, knighting ceremonies and photos with the King and Queen. Plus, enjoy medieval rides and games of skill.
July 13 and 14, 2024
Ahoy, matey! Pirates and scallywags have invaded the festival. Children can join the Captain’s Crew and seek out his legendary treasure. Participate in a costume contest on the Rose Stage.
July 20 and 21, 202
This weekend is dedicated to “The Nectar of the Gods”. Participate in the legendary Grape Stomp Competitions on the Rose Stage at noon. Also, enjoy FREE sampling of some of the finest vintages from area wineries at the Dancing Bear Pub.

Renaissance Romance and Masquerade Weekend
Visit the magic and romance of the Renaissance age. Wear your finest garb and join Romeos and Juliets in this weekend dedicated to lovers.
August 3 and 4, 2024
Time Travelers Weekend and Final Huzzah
It’s the final weekend of the King’s visit. Everyone from the past, present and future is invited to join the epic celebration.

If you’re looking for a summer adventure on a budget, King Soopers is offering discounted tickets for the very popular annual festival — $25 for adults (reg. $28) and $11 for children ages 5 to 12 (reg. $12). Children 4 and under are FREE.
The discounted tickets are available at the customer service desk, while supplies last.
The festival’s hours are 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., rain or shine. There is also plenty of FREE parking available.
