The frugal fiesta is over! There seems to be so many restaurants and business closing select locations or closing altogether lately. And here’s yet another one to add to the growing list: Del Taco unexpectedly just announced the closure of all of its Colorado locations. (There is apparently only one location staying open — in Grand Junction.) The Thursday morning announcement was a shock to both employees and customers.
Among hungry bargain hunters, Del Taco was known for offering a better value than its competitor Taco Bell — especially their popular Taco Nights special on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And some diners even thought the food was better, too!
UPDATE: According to a statement to the media from Del Taco, the closings may only be temporary, with locations to re-open in the future. We will keep you updated as we learn more.

“At this time, our Denver and Colorado Springs franchise locations are temporarily closed. We will re-open these locations as soon as possible and will share updates as they become available. The Del Taco location in Grand Junction is owned and operated by a different franchisee and remains open for business. Thank you for your patience and support.”
