Arrive at the beginning for the best selection.
Species will include a limited selection of unclaimed trees from our Denver Digs Trees distribution.
The Park People works with local nurseries and experts, including Denver’s Office of the City Forester, to select varieties that will perform well in Denver’s climate.
Varieties include: Montmorency Cherry, Honeycrisp Apple, Reliance Peach, Toka Plum, Hot Wings Maple, and limited quantities of unclaimed trees from the Denver Digs Trees distribution.
Anyone can purchase and plant these carefully selected trees in their yards—including people living outside Denver and non-Denver residents.
All sale trees must be planted on private property (not in the public right-of-way). Planting along the street requires a site inspection and issuance of a City permit in advance.
Your purchase also supports the costs of the hundreds of trees The Park People distributes predominantly to residents of low-canopy, low-income neighborhoods each year through the Denver Digs Trees program.
Through the Denver Digs Trees program, The Park People has added more than 65,000 trees to Denver’s urban forest over the past 40+ years.
City Park Greenhouse is at 2500 E. 23rd Ave., (near 23rd and York, close to the Denver Zoo), Denver.
