The annual Light the Lights celebration kicks off the daily holiday light and music show at Denver’s City and County Building. This year’s event is Wednesday, November 27, 2024, and will be hosted by Denver7 anchor Micah Smith. At approximately 5:15 pm, the giant switch will be flipped, illuminating the City and County Building in an overload of holiday cheer!

Event Schedule
4 p.m. — Unofficial start: Interact with Denver Police, Sheriff, Fire Department, and mascots
4:30 p.m. — Event begins: Opening remarks by Denver7’s Micah Smith
4:45 p.m. — Performance by the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus
5:15 p.m. — Mascots flip the switch for the holiday light show
5:30 p.m. — Conclusion
