Enjoy an evening of beautiful music featuring the String Ensemble and the Conservatory Orchestra of Denver Young Artists Orchestra on Saturday, May 15. This FREE virtual concert will be streamed on Facebook and YouTube at 7 p.m. and includes a special appearance by the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Youth Ensemble.
This program will feature music by Howard Hanson, Franz Joseph Haydn, Antonio Vivaldi, and Jeremy Woolstenhulme, as well as the world premiere of To Bloom Again, by Jherrard M. Hardeman.
This concert features the winner of the 2020 String Ensemble Concerto Competition, violinist Akshaye Sankholkar, and the winner of the 2020 Conservatory Orchestra Concerto Competition, flutist Corvina Graham.
To Bloom Again is the first commission to be premiered from the DYAO “Hear the Future: A New Works Initiative” program which seeks to highlight female and BIPOC composers.
