Douglas County Commissioners are opening up the preserved area of historic Sandstone Ranch (normally closed to the public) for a countywide celebration of gratitude and community spirit on Saturday, June 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The FREE event includes live bluegrass music, hikes, hayrides and more family fun. Food will be available to purchase from a variety of food trucks and vendors or you can bring a picnic.
“Together We Stand” will honor those lost and celebrate the resilience and strength of so many during this past year – including hard-working individuals and families, the business community, first responders, other public servants, and the healthcare and public health professionals from throughout Douglas County communities.
Here’s the event schedule:
Live music begins – 10 a.m.
Welcome and Commissioner remarks – 10:30 a.m.
Hayrides and hikes – throughout, following remarks
Food available for purchase – 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Attendee should bring camp chairs, picnic blankets and walking shoes. Don’t forget your water and sunscreen, but please leave glass containers, alcoholic beverages, horses and pets at home.
