Immerse yourself, family and friends in millions of Halloween-themed lights without ever leaving the car thanks to Spooky Light Show. It’s at the Water World parking lot from October 11 to 30, 2023. Expect to cruise by giant pumpkins, a spooky graveyard, arches of blinking lights and more. Admission is a reasonable $30 per car, but MHOTC has an exclusive discount for an extra 15% off.
Usually the tour runs about 20 to 30 minutes, but there’s no time limit as you go along the mile stretch. That way, guests can really take it all in.
The lights are all timed to popular spooky season music, which plays right in the vehicle while driving through the show.
All you have to do is dial into the FM radio station (info provided there) when you get to the site, and let the adventure begin.
Now, we all know from living in Colorado that sometimes it’s 70-degrees in October, and other days it’s 30.
With the spooky light show you can avoid the weather by staying inside through the whole thing, and blast the heat or air conditioning, whatever strikes the mood.
And if the windows are down, bundle up with a cozy sweater and to-go cup of coffee.
Keep in mind many people also take pick-up trucks and, since it’s so slow paced (about 3 MPH), they set up a view site in the bed. Blankets, costumes, warm mugs of hot chocolate are all encouraged.
You can even bring your pet. Just don’t let anyone leave the vehicle!
