The city of Parker toasts German heritage and traditions with its own Oktoberfest from Friday to Sunday, September 13 to 15 in O’Brien Park. The FREE event features live German music, Bavarian dancers, a Biergarten, contests and lots of authentic German food. Kids can enjoy activities and games. New this year: a cornhole tournament with cash prizes to the top teams and best dressed.
There are Dachshund races (Sunday at 11 a.m.) and a late night German Techno Party (Friday at 9 p.m.). More than 100 vendors will be on hand, too.
Hours are Friday, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 10795 S. Victorian Dr., Parker.
