Dream of being a firefighter for a day? Now’s your chance. West Metro Fire Protection District hosts its annual Family Fire Muster on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Training Center. The event is FREE and you’ll see all kinds of live demonstrations. Fire engines, cool gear, firefighters… what’s not to like?
Kids will enjoy fun activities like the Junior Firefighter Challenge, Teddy Bear Clinic, Bike Rodeo and inflatable slides.
Tour Fire Station #10 and West Metro’s Training Center to see how firefighters prepare for emergencies and what it’s like to live the dream of being a firefighter!
No costume? No worries! They have retired bunker coats for folks to try on and take pictures, so bring your camera too. But leave your pets at home — pets are not allowed at the Muster.
Families will learn what to do to prepare for their own emergencies – have a Family Escape Plan and how to call 9-1-1.
Firefighters demonstrate their response to a residential fire and show how important it is to practice your own family fire drill at home.
Here’s a map to help you get around.
Parking is at D’Evelyn High School with a shuttle to and from the event.
