Here’s a community service worth barking about for pet parents! Golden’s Foothills Animal Shelter and the City of Arvada are helping families on a budget take care of their canine cohorts by offering complimentary vaccinations. Dogs are family, so it’s important to keep their health in check and making sure their properly vaccinated is an important part of that commitment.
When: Saturday, April 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Arvada High School at 7951 W. 65th Ave. (The clinic will be held in the north parking lot.)
What: FREE Canine Distemper and Parvo Vaccines
In addition, for convenience, the following services will also be offered:
$20 Bordetella Vaccines
$20 Rabies Vaccines
$35 Microchip Implants
$20 Jefferson County Pet Licensing
Please note the following guidelines for the clinic:
Please make sure your dog is on a leash.
You need to remain in your car until your pet is ready to be seen. A volunteer will give you a clipboard with paperwork for each pet. The paperwork will be numbered based on arrival.
You will be directed to move your vehicle, as you progress through the line.
Current vaccination records for your pet(s) are not required. However, the information is helpful in ensuring your pet receives the correct vaccinations.
To ensure the safety of all involved, the clinic is reserved for healthy animals. If your dog is sick, please do not bring them to the clinic.
Need pet food? In addition, the shelter will have a limited supply of pet food available, free-of-charge. Food will be setup outside for families to take home.
