Fashion retailer Forever 21 announced on Sunday, March 16, it is filing for bankruptcy. The company said in a statement that its stores and website in the United States will remain open and continue serving customers for now, but it is implementing an “orderly wind-down” of its business. Forever 21 said that it will start liquidation sales at its US stores while also attempting to find a buyer.

There are five Forever 21 locations in Colorado:
Broomfield — FlatIron Crossing
Fort Collins — Foothills Mall
Littleton — Southwest Plaza
Lone Tree — Park Meadows
Thornton — Denver Premium Outlets
As with other bankruptcy filings, there is limited information on when liquidation sales begin and what discounts will be available. But if you are a Forever 21 fan, this may be your last chance to buy their clothing.
According to some news reports, going-out-of-business sales began in mid-February for some poor performing locations. These will close the week of March 30. All other locations will close by May 1.
