Classic carnival fun comes to Town Center at Aurora from Wednesday to Sunday, August 2 to 6 to mark the end of summer and back to school. The festivities end with the Aurora Public Schools Back to School Kickoff on Saturday, August 5 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. FREE backpacks and school supplies will be provided to APS students while supplies last.
The event is also a great opportunity to meet school staff, explore tons of resources and register your child for school. Low- or no-cost immunizations will be available for children two months to 18 years old. Please be sure to bring your child’s shot records.
Wagner’s Carnival provides the fun and thrills in the center’s parking lot. Families can enjoy a wide variety of fun, with more than 35 rides and attractions, from kiddie rides to spectacular, giant thrill rides for the more adventurous.
Rides include the old fashioned favorites like the Merry-Go-Round, Tea Cups and Ferris Wheel, and the new fast and exciting rides such as the Zipper, Kamikaze and Hurricane. This year, they have added the “Super Shot,” a 90-foot drop tower.
Patrons can try their hand at carnival games and chow down on iconic carnival food from corn dogs to crisp funnel cakes. Wagner’s Carnival hours are: 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday, and 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
