Even though we live in Broncos Country, the sun’s rays won’t be orange all day on Monday, August 21 because of a total solar eclipse at 11:47 a.m. For just a few minutes, the moon will pass between Earth and the sun, completely blocking the sun’s light and bringing temporary darkness. (Unfortunately, Denver won’t witness 100% coverage of the sun.)
Before you look up, you must protect your eyes and wear special solar eclipse glasses. (A regular pair of sunglasses won’t cut it. And never ever look directly at the sun without proper protection.) You need NASA-approved and ISO-certified glasses.
