Grab your blankets, lawn chairs and prepare to bundle up (but it’s so worth it) on the the University of Denver campus for a FREE open-air Holiday Carillon Recital on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 3 p.m. The recital (which goes on regardless of weather) features the school’s Williams Carillon, a 65-bell instrument and one of the largest bell towers in the country.
Performers include Joey Brink (University Carillonist) and other local carillon players.
The concert lasts about an hour, with a free reception to follow from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
You can even take a free tour of the tower if you are willing to climb the 95 steps up a stone, spiral staircase to the top for one of the best views in Denver.
Street parking is available on High Street and neighboring streets.
The Ritchie Center Lawn is between Evans Ave. & Asbury Ave., just south of the Ritchie Center athletic complex.
