Kids can learn do-it-yourself skills and craft a fun item for themselves or to give to someone special by attending Home Depot’s FREE “How-To-Workshop” on the first Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to noon at all stores. The classes promote tool safety for kids ages 5 to 12, as well as encourage some quality time between parent and child.
Workshops create a hands-on learning experience that sparks creativity, promotes problem-solving and encourages social interaction for the youngest generation of DIYers.
All participants not only take home their craft, but receive a FREE orange apron (a mini-version of what Home Depot associates wear) and a pin. Kids Workshop activities are on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please don’t arrive before 9 a.m. Right now, when you go to this page, you need to click on “Purchase Your Kids Workshop Kit of the Month.”
However, that will take you to the page showing the future in-store dates and projects (we suspect they’ll finally fix this to reflect the in-store workshops) and you do NOT have to buy anything.
