During the 2024 March Madness tournament, MUG Root Beer and its canine mascot, Dog, encouraged college basketball fans to “root for all the dogs.” As part of the campaign, the brand promised that, if a team with a fellow dog mascot was victorious as the champions, they would give away FREE root beer to all.

From April 9 to May 7, 2024, MUG Root Beer is giving away a FREE product — up to $8. The sweet giveaway is valid for all varieties of bottle/can packages of MUG Root Beer products.
