Maybe you are no Michelle Kwan or Nathan Chen, but you can explore ice skating with this slick deal from South Suburban Ice Arena and Family Sports Ice Arena in Centennial during Great Skate Day. Anyone who attends the public skating session on Saturday, November 17, may take a FREE 30-minute skating lesson taught by an experienced coach. This is a great opportunity to learn the basics or improve your technique.
Meet instructors, explore programs designed for beginners to experts, and visit with representatives from resident hockey associations, figure skating clubs, Showtime on Ice, synchronized skating and Theatre on Ice teams.
Admission is $8 ($6 for district residents). Skate rental is extra. South Suburban is at 6580 S. Vine St., Centennial. Family Sports Center is at 6901 S. Peoria St. Centennial.
