We all know that backyard composting is an effective way to provide quality compost for our own gardens and reduce waste, but we don’t always know how to go about it effectively. Boulder County’s workshops, which are FREE to county residents, discuss how to start and maintain a highly efficient compost system, what to “feed” your compost pile, appropriate bins, tips and troubleshooting, and more.
Upcoming workshops are scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 10 a.m. to noon in Boulder at the county recycling center; Monday, April 8, 6 to 8 p.m at the county Parks and Open Space office; Thursday, April 25, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Louisville Public Library; Monday April 29, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Lyons Town Hall; and Monday, May 6, 6 to 8 p.m. in the Erie Community Center.
