National Gyro Day comes around just once every year, so, of course, Garbanzo Mediterranean Fresh is celebrating in a delicious way. (Did you know they’re headquartered right here in Colorado?) On Friday, September 1, they’re inviting customers to enjoy a FREE classic gyro pita with the purchase of any side AND any drink at participating locations.
The classic gyro pita is filled with hand-carved roasted gyro meat, tomato cucumber salad, romaine lettuce, red onions and feta cheese. Then top it all off with one of Garbanzo’s scratch-made sauces – like traditional gyro tzatziki yogurt sauce.
There are 17 locations in Colorado. Hours vary, but most are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the week. If you really like their food, they also have a customer loyalty program — Very Important Bean (V.I.B) Club. Earn a $5 reward, once you reach 80 points.
Daily Lesson: Be sure you pronounce the dish correctly, it’s “yee-roh” — according to standard Greek. It’s also often pronounced in America as “hee-roh.” We just know it’s definitely not “jy-ro.”
