The Great American Beer Festival is upon us, and if your plan is anything like the folks at Bierstadt Lagerhaus you will be drinking copious amounts of beer. They invite you to educate yourselves before the debauchery begins, so when you start dropping knowledge on those GABF first timers you actually know what you’re talking about.
That’s why they are holding a “Beer School: Sensory Training” workshop on Monday, September 17 at 7 p.m. This is a rare opportunity for the general public to get a professional level education from the talented Melissa Antone.
Believe it or not, we will make your palate better by making the beer taste worse. Your class will cover proper tasting techniques, tips and tricks for identifying eight common off-flavors, and their origins in beer.
With a self quiz at the end you will be armed with more beer drinking knowledge than 99% of the 40,000 people roaming the Convention Center halls.
Tickets are $25 per person and you can buy them here. 2875 Blake St., Denver.
