As the National Western Stock Show pulls into Denver, the city of Golden saddles up to celebrate Western Heritage Days. There’s no place more western than Golden, as the iconic Welcome Arch, proudly proclaims, “Howdy Folks! Welcome to Golden, it’s “Where the West Lives!” In January, the city celebrates offers a month full of Western fun, including FREE wagon rides pulled by Clydesdales on three Saturdays (January 13, 20 & 27, 2024).
Photos with horses are available from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 15-minute wagon rides through historic downtown will be offered from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Golden is also home of the Buffalo Bill Museum, Colorado Railroad Museum, and even Original Coors.
