This event is FULL. It’s an evening of ghostly trails and tales when you experience Bear Creek Lake Park in all its ghoulish magic. Haunted Trail Adventure is set for Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Walk along the Owl Trail and discover the critters of the night, enjoy carnival games, and tasty treats. After your adventure, warm your toes by the fire at the amphitheater and enjoy roasting marshmallows and sipping hot chocolate.

“Haunted” Trail Adventure
Walk along the Owl Trail and discover the critters of the night. This family-friendly trail adventure is designed to explore the misunderstood and sometimes spooky animals that call Bear Creek Lake Park home. Explore coyotes, bats, spiders, mountain lions, bears, and so much more as guides help you conquer fears and debunk the myths surrounding these Front Range animals.
Carnival Games
Step right up and let your little superhero or princess show off their skills in these wickedly fun carnival games with a Halloween twist. Whether it’s throwing frogs into a cauldron or bowling with gourds, your little one is guaranteed to enjoy the challenge. All games included with price of admission.
Campfire/Marshmallow Roast
What better way to end the night than a roasting marshmallow, a cup of hot cocoa from Village Roasters and a campfire? Meet behind the visitor center at the Learning Circle amphitheater and warm your bones by the fire.
Photo Booth
Step into the FREE photo booth and capture the magic of the evening (costumes encouraged).
Cost is $5 per person. You MUST register in advance. Walk-ins are NOT permitted. You can register online here.
Free parking is available at the Meadowlark Cove picnic area and the Big Soda Swim beach parking lot. ADA accessible parking is available at the Bear Creek Lake Park Visitor Center. Directional signage will be around the area to direct patrons to parking locations and event registration.
