Assistance League of Denver has a wonderful program called Hospital Equipment Lending Program or HELP. The organization purchases new equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, rolling walkers, commodes, etc. and lend it for FREE to people who are in need after surgery. All they ask is that the equipment be returned when no longer needed.
There is a list of equipment for loan on it’s website www.assistanceleague.org/denver or you can download a list here.
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Appointments can be made online or by phone, but no appointment is necessary.
The phone number is 720 598-6126.
The office is next to the Assistance League’s popular Thrift Shop at 6265 East Evans Ave., Suite #7, Denver.
They are the best people in town. I had to borrow few medical equipments for my father and they gave us the best customer service for free. And they even told me to use the equipment as long as needed with no questions asked. I returned the items after few months of usage. Thanks alot for all the help and support you provide.
I’D LIKE TO DONATE A FEW ITEMS…IS IT POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO PICK THEM UP? [TOILET, BENCH, CRUTCHES, ETC.]
Jane. You need to call the Assistance League. Unfortunately, we only posted this info, we don’t operate the program. – LD
