You may not know this, but the International Heritage Festival is the oldest multicultural festival in Colorado. This year’s event is on Saturday, September 7, 2024, from noon to 6 p.m. at 40 West Arts District in Lakewood. Sponsored by The Colorado Folk Arts Council, this FREE event celebrates folk dancing around the world.
The festival features dance groups representing a wide range of cultures from Mexico, India, Germany, Lithuania Scandinavia, Africa and Native America and many others. There’s hip-hop for the younger generations and new vendors from Venezuela.
Organizers say it is a festival for everyone and embraces the incredible diversity of our state.
Vendors selling various handmade wares, as well as plenty of diverse food trucks will be on site.
6501 W. Colfax Ave., Lakewood.
Is the Festival being held at 6501 W. Colfax or at the Pavillion at Anderson Park at 44th and Field in Wheat Ridge?
Sorry for the typo. We forgot to delete the old location in the copy. It is definitely on W. Colfax. — LD
