JCPenney is closing its store at The Shops at Northfield. This is one of eight locations to close across the country. The freestanding store is located at 8568 E. 49th Ave. in Denver. It becomes the second major retailer at Northfield to shutter, joining Macy’s in closing its doors. No official closing date has been announced, but according to a story in Axios, the company said stores will be closed by mid-year.

A liquidation sale is anticipated.
Remember that these types of sales may or may not offer deals, as liquidators attempt to get the maximum amount of money on inventory. And some merchandise may simply be transferred to other stores.
