The city of Aurora and Colorado Freedom Memorial’s Colorado Remembers ceremony will be Saturday, May 23, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year, the event will celebrate the 250-year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, as well as the 150-year anniversary of Colorado’s statehood. Historic Old Town Erie hosts the annual Erie Town Fair on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors can enjoy more than 280 craft, artist, food and vendor booths. One of the largest Memorial Day parades in the nation is held in Commerce City. More than 100 entries including antique and classic cars, motorcycles, floats, horses, bands and marching units will travel the 1.5 mile parade route on Monday, May 25, 2026.
