Roxborough State Park, a Gold Standard site as designated by the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, will be offering a FREE Leave No Trace Awareness course as part of its Junior Naturalist Program on Saturday, May 4 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the park’s Visitors Center. Learn how to minimize your impacts and share with others so that we can enjoy Colorado for many years to come.
Becoming a Junior Naturalist allows families to spend time together as they discover the many wonders of Roxborough State Park. Gain knowledge of nature in this outdoor wonderland. Kids can earn a Certificate of Completion or continue on for their official Junior Naturalist Patch! Two Naturalist led hikes are required for the patch.
There is an $8 entrance fee per vehicle. No pets allowed. Plan on coming early, as when Roxborough gets to capacity there could be up to one-hour wait to get in the park. Attendance is limited to the first 16 people. Register here.
