Here’s a way to expose your kids to the world of opera without having them endure a multi-hour production. Loveland Opera Theatre is staging Mozart’s famed Cosi fan tutti February 22 to March 3. While tickets to the full production will run you $35 ($13 for children), you can take the kiddos to a special Cosi fan tutti just for kids (with discounted tickets) on Saturday, February 23 and March 2 at 2:30 p.m.
During the kids’ show, attendees will learn about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s life and music. They will meet two couples, their old friend and their maid, but it is up to the kids to figure out who is the trickster and whether they are making trouble or stirring up fun.
Children will also learn backstage secrets about sets and costumes, with a peek behind the scenes led by the Stage Director. The show runs 90 minutes and includes a Q&A session. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children. You can purchase tickets here or by calling the Rialto Theater Box Office at 970-962-2120.
