From now through October 31 head to Loveland to hunt for scarecrows in the city’s new Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt. Artistic scarecrows are waiting for you across the city — from downtown and Centerra to fun places in between. These aren’t your typical scarecrows – each has been meticulously designed by local artists and businesses to show off Loveland’s thriving art community.
This event is free and open to the public. Grab your map and camera, find the scarecrows and pose, then submit your photos via social media or upload through an online form (the technically challenged can even email them in). Participants who submit all scarecrows will be entered to win a ton of prizes.
Here’s how to play:
Download the free, official Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt app – EVENTZEE.
Follow EVENTZEE’s instructions to create an account, and use the code (SCARECROW) to find the Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt game.
Use the code SCARECROW to find the game in the Eventzee app
The app will guide you through a series of questions, challenges, and puzzles to solve, and will take you throughout Loveland in your hunt to find all of the scarecrows. You must complete ALL the challenges to be eligible for all other prizes. Please note that you do not have to get every answer correct to be eligible for prizes.
After completing the all of the challenges, you can show the Scarecrow Champion badge at the Loveland Visitors Center during regular store hours (Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) to claim your completion prize. You will also be entered in the grand prize drawing.
While this game can be played anytime, organizers recommend playing during daylight hours as some challenges will be much more difficult to complete in the dark. All of the challenges are outdoors.
There are no entrance fees or purchases are required to play. The hunt can be completed in a few hours or over multiple days but must be finished by midnight on October 31.
Per the contest rules, entries must be made by October 31, 2023. You can view here the contest rules and the map showing the general location of the scarecrows.
