The page is working again. Here is where you want to go to register. However, most of the stores are already showing “full”. But note that each week they will reopen registration for a different kit. Colorado is most definitely eager for spring and Lowe’s is onboard with a month long “SpringFest” celebration featuring FREE family project kits you can pick up curbside. The home improvement store also plans free online and in-store demos in select stores — from lawn care maintenance with Scotts to paint demos with The Sherwin-Willams Company.
Beginning April 1, customers can register on Lowe’s com for FREE Garden-to-Go kits. The first curbside event will be Thursday, April 8 and then occur each Thursday through the rest of the month.
The family-friendly activity kits can be reserved starting one week before each distribution date. They include:
Thursday, April 8 — Garden-to-Go kit sponsored by Miracle-Gro with exclusive recipes from professional cook and food stylist Amanda Frederickson.
Thursday, April 15 — Lowe’s Mystery Garden Pinata with mystery seed packets.
Thursday, April 22 — 500,000 tree saplings given out in honor of Earth Day.
Thursday, April 29 — Lowe’s Butterfly Quest which helps families create a butterfly garden.
I can’t find this on the Lowe’s site at all. I wonder if you have any more info or specific links for this. Thanks.
Cindy, Looks like the Lowe’s site crashed. WE have a direct link in the story now, so keep checking and hopefully it will come back online soon. — Laura
Thank you for posting this information. I was able to register at about 10:35 AM and secure a pickup at my local Lowe’s. My Lowe’s will be distributing the kits from 5 PM – 7 PM on the 8th. This looks like lots of fun – thanks again!
This was disappointing. Several times this morning, I tried to register, and it said the site was temporarily down. I just now tried again, and it said registration is closed.
Dee — I totally agree that the experience was not the best. I checked with our sister sites across the country and ALL had the same issue. The Lowe’s site was overwhelmed, crashed and when they did get back online everything was booked up within minutes. It is VERY disappointing. I suspect they were a victim of their own success where they promoted this nationwide and then couldn’t deliver on their promise. It makes the company look bad. — Laura
