Started in 2001, Maize in the City features fun fall attractions including a 20-acre corn maze, mini maze and so much more. Farmer-owned, the site also offers a variety of locally grown pumpkins, gourds and other fall decor for purchase. Located in Thornton, it is super easy to get to for those living in the Denver area. Maize in the City offers three distinct areas for you to visit — corn mazes, attractions and pumpkin field.
There are three ways to navigate your way through the 20-acre Crazed Corn Field Maze. Find your way with the help of a customizable smartphone trivia game, QR checkpoint hunt or traditional punch card game.
The maze takes approximately 40 minutes to complete and is fun for all ages.
Let the little ones take the lead as you make your way through the Mini Maze — a maze cut into a shorter corn stalk field. The Mini Maze is perfect for young children. With paper checkpoints, children will collect hole punches as they navigate through the maze.
Maize in the City offers a variety of pumpkins, gourds and more in the easy-pick field. Pumpkins are priced by size and range from $1 to $20+ . Sizing charts are available onsite. Prices for gourds and other fall decor vary.
Days and hours of operation vary. Attractions at the site are open on weekends. Check website for hours and dates.
Attraction tickets will be sold until 5 p.m. and attractions will close at 6 p.m. Corn maze tickets will be sold until 5 p.m. and close at 6 p.m.
Admission to the site is FREE.
Tickets for the corn maze: $14/adults, $10 kids (5-12), kids 4 and younger are FREE. Additional charge for some rides & activities such as pony rides, petting zoo, bounce houses, the corn launcher, escape rooms and the barrel train. See attraction options and pricing here.
Tickets for the Mini Maze are $5 per person (adult or child).
Visiting the pumpkin field, playground and photo ops are FREE.
