Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the largest and most important festivals in Asia. It is a celebration of the harvest moon and it is a time to connect with family.
The history of the Mid-Autumn Festival dates back over 3,000 years. During this time, the Chinese believe that the moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn.
During the festivities, it is tradition to light up lanterns and celebrate the brightness of the round moon.
