The MY Denver Card just keeps getting better. What started as a program to give kids (ages 5 to 18) FREE year-round access to the city’s 28 recreation centers and 29 pools, as well as the Denver Public Library, also includes FREE admission and/or other deals at 13 arts, culture and science organizations and attractions, including the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Denver Zoo, History Colorado Center and, Buffalo Bill Museum.
Benefits at the various cultural sites are offered at various times throughout the year, so you need to check the MY Denver Card site for specifics.
The latest offering is a backstage tour of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. The expertly guided tours are 90-minutes long and take visitors to explore costume shops, design studios, and the DCPA venues.
Tours are every Monday and Saturday at 10 a.m. Library card holders can book a pass online. Admission is valid for a party of up to four, recommended for kids 6 and up.
Getting a card is easy. DPS and non-DPS students can sign up in person at one of the Denver recreation centers or on the MY Denver Card site Online Service Center. You’ll then bring ID, proof of guardianship and residency to your nearest Denver recreation center to receive your child’s new card.
The program applies to all students in grades K-12 regardless of where they go to school, as long as they’re residents of Denver.
