National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The Wheat Ridge Police Department hosts huge community gathering on Tuesday, August 7 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hayward Park, next to City Hall.
The FREE celebration includes a tour of the Police Department, a display of police vehicles (including patrol cars, the SWAT van, motorcycles, and community services vehicles), plus crime prevention displays to educate the community on the importance of local anti-crime efforts.
Kids and families can also enjoy balloon animals, face painting and FREE refreshments provided by local restaurants.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. And, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. 7500 W. 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge.
