Nocturne, the jazz and supper club in Denver’s RiNo Arts District, hosts a monthly Sunday Community Matinee series. The new series offers a more accessible, family-friendly entertainment option. Tickets to live jazz performances will cost $10 per person on one Sunday each month from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Ideal for families, youth and students, the series will make cultural and artistic experiences available to a wider audience and provide an opportunity to give young aspiring artists in the community a chance to see live jazz on stage.
“We’re most well-known for Dinner and a Show ($89 per person) with live music from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.,” says Nicole Mattson, Nocturne co-owner. “This new series presents the opportunity to open earlier on Sundays for an all-ages performance that expands our audience and fosters community engagement.”
Nocturne’s full menu will be available to guests of Sunday Community Matinee performances and guests will also be able to enjoy select discounted dishes and beverages (both adult- and kid-friendly) that are perfect for sharing amongst groups.
The series kicks off on Sunday, August 18, 2024, with world-class drummer, Jeff Hamilton, who will perform as part of the Akiko Tsuruga, Jeff Hamilton and Steve Kovalcheck Trio.
September’s Sunday Community Matinee will be Sunday, September 15, 2024.
