CU Buffs football fans head to Downtown Boulder on the evening before every weekend home game, when the Pearl Street Stampede lights up the town. This old-fashioned parade and pep rally starts at 7 p.m. with a vintage 1948 CU fire truck leading the procession, followed by the school’s Golden Buffalo Marching Band, the CU football team and cheerleaders. No rambunctious Ralphie, however.
The parade begins at the Boulder County Courthouse (1300 block) and heads west to the 1000 block, stopping every block for the band to perform and for the players to high-five spectators.
