Dubbing itself “Denver’s only waking comedy nightmare,” Phantasmagoria: Halloween Spectacular is a night showcasing comedy, horror, visual art, and music on Saturday, October 26 at the Bakery. Absurd and creative, this show is a truly unique experience. Guests will be transported to an alternate dimension featuring an art showcase and a comedy/horror show, followed by live music and a dance party. Plus, there are libations and FREE pizza. You heard that right baby, that’s the hook…free food.
Some of Denver’s best absurdist comics will be taking the stage to perform a variety show featuring all of your favorite monsters. Characters like Elvira, Dracula, and Frankenstein will all be there for a night of ghouls and gags hosted by the one and only Dead Cruz.
Audiences should come thoroughly prepared with helmets, diapers, and permission slips signed by a parent or legal guardian, as this show promises to be a doozy.
After the comedy show, Denver synth-funk prodigy Cop Circles will be beamed down from the future to tickle your ear holes with his mystical computer piano. Prepare accordingly with dancing shoes and dancing socks underneath your Halloween costume for the costume contest which includes prizes.
Phantasmagoia is a group of Denver comedians and improvisers who have been producing shows at Voodoo Comedy and other locations around town.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $9 and may be purchased online here. The bakery is at 2132 Market St., Denver.
