GAG, an LGBTQ+ comedy affair featuring top NYC queer comedians, is coming Friday, October 4, 2024, at 7:30 p.m., to Dude, IDK Studios in Denver. Host Jeremy Crittenden (Broadway, Star Trek Discovery), Drew Tessier (Netflix) and Bobby Hankinson (SiriusXM) present GAG, a night that’ll make you say “Maybe they don’t deserve rights after all.”
It’s an evening for bad gays and the people who love them. Come enjoy hilarious stand-up from some of NYC’s funniest queer comedians, local LGBTQ+ talent, games and more. Cost is $17.85. Get tickets here. The event is 21+ and BYOB.
Tessier (founder of the NY Queer Comedy Festival at the legendary Broadway Comedy Club) Hankinson (creator and host of Brooklyn’s beloved monthly queer comedy showcase, Kweendom) and Crittenden (the Internet’s favorite Daddy, with more than 100k followers on social media), have spent years as pillars of the NYC queer comedy scenes across the major clubs, alt spaces and online content.
Now, they’re bringing their iconoclastic style to Denver with some help from the funniest folks around.
In addition to extended sets from Crittenden, Tessier and Hankinson, the show will feature three local comedians, games and more.
Jeremy Crittenden is a comedian, actor, and content producer in New York City. He’s worked on broadway (Paradise Square), TV (Star Trek Discovery), and creates regular content for over 100k followers across Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter. He refuses to call it X. He’s painfully single.
Drew Tessier is a New York comedy scene mainstay with deep Southern roots. As the host of Drew Tessier’s (Mostly) Queer Comedy Show podcast, Drew showcases some of the best LGBTQ talent from across the country. He created and runs the New York Queer Comedy Festival. Drew’s unique blend of Southern charm and big-city humor has made him a standout in the comedy world.
Bobby Hankinson is a writer and performer. Since 2015, Bobby has hosted KWEENDOM, a monthly all-LGBTQ+ Brooklyn comedy show TimeOUT NY called “consistently dope” and Thrillist described as “extremely gay.” Bobby has performed all over the country at venues including Broadway Comedy Club, The Bell House, Punchline Philly, Black Cat DC, Hartford Funny Bone, Laugh Boston and more.
