The Colorado Rockies take to Coors Field for their first home game on Friday, April 4, 2025. Downtown Denver will be abuzz, many taverns and restaurants will open their doors for game viewing (starting at 2:10 p.m.) and there are several FREE parties you can attend either before, during or after the game.
McGregor Square Party
First at bat is the McGregor Square Party. Located next to Coors Field, the Plaza itself will open at 9 a.m. with drink specials, DJ performances from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. giveaways onsite throughout the morning. Watch all the action of the 66-foot big screen.

Denver Union Station Patio Party
Or check out the Denver Union Station Patio Party. Designed for the entire family, the festivities will kick off on the Terminal Bar patio starting at 10 a.m. Enjoy a Rockies brat while listening to Paizley Park – Denver’s favorite Prince tribute band – outside on the Plaza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Free and open to all, guests can snap pics at a 360 photo booth and show off their purple spirit with complimentary Rockies face painting.

Game Day on the Block
Another option is LoDo’s Dairy Block which hosts Game Day on the Block, a variety of baseball-themed activations and food and drink specials on Friday, April 4.
Enjoy live music in the Dairy Block Alley from Something Vinyl Club (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or live bluegrass music on the Seven Grand patio (noon to 2 p.m.).
Experience Colorado Rockies art installations in the Alley, including a live Rockies mural painting by local chalk artist Tony Zellaha and the Rockies Living Wall by Handsome Little Devils.
Enjoy free Rockies face painting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Alley and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in The Maven lobby.
Post-game music will be played in Denver Milk Market from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Plus, there will be pop-up bars in the Alley courtesy Poka Lola Social Club, Blanchard Family Wines, Deviation and For[a]ged.
Denver Milk Market will pouring Coors & Coors Light specials in Stranded Pilgrim, with $6 Biker Jim hot dogs and ice cream by Little Man Ice Cream
Kachina Cantina will be celebrating America’s favorite pastime from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. with drink specials including a Margarita on the Rockies for $10 and Game Day bites including tacos, empanadas, nachos and more
Poka Lola Social Club will be serving home run drink specials, including Butterfly Shots for $8 and the Bad News Bears, a frozen Don Julio Blanco, for $16 .
