Are you stumped about how to prune roses? Learn how to safely and properly care for roses by joining us for a FREE rose pruning workshop led by professional horticulturalists team, along with area master gardeners and members of the Denver Rose Society.
The hands-on event is Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8 a.m. to noon at South Suburban’s War Memorial Rose Garden, across the street from Sterne Park. The garden features more than 250 varieties of roses. What better place to learn how to care for our national flower?
All you’ll need to bring is a sharp pair of bypass pruning shears and leather gloves. Knee pads are helpful.
Light refreshments will be served, and gardeners will have an opportunity to win prizes related to growing roses in Colorado.
Registration is required for this FREE workshop. You can sign-up here.
The War Memorial Rose Garden is dedicated to veterans who have served in America’s wars, and is one of only two All-American Rose Select designations within the State of Colorado.
